Bio
Kaleb I. Hobgood is an associate in the firm’s Indianapolis office, where he focuses his practice on insurance defense litigation involving product liability, premises liability and motor vehicle claims. He has experience representing insurers, businesses and individuals in a variety of civil defense matters, including bodily injury and property damage disputes.
In addition to his primary areas of practice, Mr. Hobgood has handled complex cases involving attorney malpractice claims. He has also defended regional medical care providers and physicians against allegations of medical negligence, as well as state agencies and employees in federal and state court in 42 U.S.C. § 1983 civil rights litigation.
Mr. Hobgood earned his law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2022, where he distinguished himself as a top 10 oral advocate in the school’s moot court competition and served on the board of the Health Law Society. He received his undergraduate degree from Wabash College in 2019.
Representative Client Work
- Defended a national organization against a defamation claim, securing an early dismissal through a successful Rule 12(c) motion for judgment on the pleadings
- Defended a national client in a complex product liability case involving allegations of design defects and serious injury, securing a settlement with no financial contribution from the client
- Achieved a favorable resolution at mediation in a highly complex legal malpractice case involving multiple unique allegations of professional negligence
