ACA Disclosure: Machine-readable JSON Files
As directed by the Affordable Care Act, the Departments of Labor, Treasury, and Health and Human Service require a group health plan make publicly available on an internet website certain machine-readable files containing price information for the group health plan. The below link will take you to the following machine readable files for the Welfare Benefits Plan for Employees of Plunkett Cooney, P.C., the group health and welfare plan sponsored by Plunkett Cooney, P.C.:
- An in-network rate file for all covered items and services (including billing codes and applicable rates such as negotiated rates, underlying fee schedule rates, or derived amounts)
- An out-of-network allowed amount file (i.e., the maximum amount the group health plan will pay for a covered item or service furnished by an out-of-network provider)
The files are accessible to any person, free of charge and without conditions. No user account, password, or other credentials, or submission of personally identifiable information is required to access the files.
- The following link leads to the machine-readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to access and analyze data more easily.
