Bio
Gregory A. Stout is a senior attorney in the firm's Real Estate Litigation & Title Insurance Practice Group. He focuses his practice in the areas of general litigation, title insurance litigation and banking and finance law.
Licensed to practice in the state and federal courts in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia, Mr. Stout's clients include insured property owners and lenders under title insurance policies and title insurance companies involved in escrow defalcations and coverage matters and those requiring issuance of closing protection letters. He represents corporate clients in commercial litigation, including commercial loan workouts, easement and pipeline litigation, receiverships, defense of consumer litigation, disputes as to mortgage repurchase agreements, as well as clients involved in contract and residential real estate disputes.
In addition to his title insurance work, Mr. Stout has extensive experience representing lending institutions and mortgage servicers across five states in creditor-based bankruptcies and foreclosure litigation. He has represented debtors and bankruptcy trustees in consumer bankruptcy matters and creditors in both consumer and complex commercial matters.
Mr. Stout's litigation experience also includes representing clients in commercial and construction disputes and Consumer Practice Act violations throughout Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.
