PDFPlunkett Cooney Announces Changes at Chicago Office
Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest law firms, announces that its Chicago office, which is under the leadership of the new co-office managing partners Matthew L. Hendricksen and John F. Sullivan, will move on July 6 to suite 3500 of the LaSalle-Wacker Building.

Plunkett Cooney’s new office space will be located on the renovated 35th floor of the LaSalle-Wacker Building, which is on the corner of West Upper Wacker Drive and North LaSalle Street.
The Chicago office is home to six attorneys, two paralegals and three support staff members who provide a range of legal services to clients in the public and private sectors. The firm has maintained an office presence in the Chicago area since 2017.
“The new space will allow the office to grow and expand our services to our clients and the business community,” said, Sullivan. “Matt and I are looking forward to continuing the success that this office has had under the leadership of previous managing partners. We have an outstanding team of attorneys and staff, and we see a bright future ahead of us.”
Newly named as co-managing partners, Hendricksen and Sullivan are charged with the responsibility of overseeing all legal services at this location, as well as the day-to-day management of office-related issues. They replace Plunkett Cooney attorney James M. Crowley who recently retired.
Hendricksen maintains a wide ranging practice that includes expertise in banking law, business litigation, creditors’ rights and real estate law. He represents financial institutions in the areas of loan origination, loan workout, responding to garnishments, loan restructuring, foreclosures, receiverships and other banking-related litigation, including defense of financial institutions.
Admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in Illinois, Hendricksen is a member of the Illinois State and Chicago bar associations. He is a 2008 magna cum laude graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Sullivan focuses his litigation practice on matters involving complex commercial issues, employment law, civil rights disputes, shareholder disputes, lender liability defense, consumer protection issues, insurance coverage, alleged fraudulent transfers, transportation liability and professional errors and omissions.
Admitted to practice in state, federal and bankruptcy courts in Illinois, Sullivan received his law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 1991.
