Bio

Elena Djordjeski is a member of the firm's Torts & Litigation and Transportation Law practice groups. She maintains a diverse litigation defense practice that includes claims involving motor vehicle liability, premises liability, general negligence, breach of contract and municipal liability.

A member of the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office, Ms. Djordjeski defends individuals, businesses, insurance carriers and municipalities in cases involving slip, trip and fall claims, first- and third-party No-Fault benefits, uninsured and underinsured motorist liability, commercial trucking and third-party transportation liability, special investigations fraud, dramshop/liquor liability and disputes involving contracts, construction defects, negligence and other civil claims. 

In addition, Ms. Djordjesk has experience handling commercial, tort and probate litigation, which involved multimillion-dollar cases on behalf of businesses, individuals and municipalities. As a litigator with nearly a decade of experience, she has tried numerous jury and bench trials. She was selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine from 2022 to present.

Representative Client List

  • Prevailed in a jury trial in the Macomb County Circuit Court, proving that the plaintiff and his medical provider engaged in fraud
  • Handled over 300 cases to conclusion, including all aspects of litigation from pre-suit through summary disposition, mediation and/or trial
  • Prepared, argued, and won more than 150 dispositive motions that resulted in the complete dismissal of an adverse party’s claims or a significant reduction of their potential damages
  • Negotiated early settlements of product liability claims involving a Fortune 500 company
  • Represents several national retail companies in various aspects of commercial and premises litigation
  • Routinely assists with development of special investigations, and recently investigated over $750,000 in pre-suit claims by the same medical provider involving more than 40 patients. Successfully developed a motion for declaratory judgment predicated on novel violations of the public health code that was granted in Wayne County Circuit Court, resulting in subsequent voluntary dismissal of over 30 other active lawsuits and elimination of all indemnity exposure.
  • Obtained judgment and recovery in a collections action against a rental property owner who defaulted on an investment loan
