PDFOakland County Issues Emergency Order for Control of Pandemic
03.24.2020
On March 24, Oakland County Executive Dave Coulter issued an Emergency Order related to the COVID-19 outbreak. The County's Order, which takes effect at noon, on March 25, is issued pursuant to Section 2453 of the Public Health Code (MCL 333.24532).
The screening requirements are more fully described in the order and include a symptom check and reporting of contact with those with confirmed COVID-19 diagnoses or travel (international or domestic). In addition, employers maintaining operations must develop and implement a social/physical distancing plan, limit capacity inside facilities to provide for such distancing, and publish the order at the entrance of its facility and to the members of the public at large by all reasonable means necessary.
If you have any questions about this new county requirement, please contact your Plunkett Cooney employment attorney.
Thank you and be safe!
