PDFMichigan Lawyers Weekly names Lannen among its Go To Lawyers for business litigation
Plunkett Cooney partner Patrick C. Lannen was recently named to the 2023 Class of Go To Lawyers for Business Litigation as determined by Michigan Lawyers Weekly (MiLW).
The co-leader of Plunkett Cooney’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group, Lannen will be featured in a special section in the May 22 print and digital issues of MiLW, which is a publication that covers the state’s legal community. Michigan’s Go To Lawyers is a nomination-based program that recognizes the top lawyers across the state in given areas of practice.
According to MiLW, the “Go To Lawyer” designation is awarded based on experience, expertise and track records of success. The review includes size and scope of litigation or transactional practices, high referral rates based on expertise and accomplishments, and creative problem solving that identifies all options for clients. Nominated lawyers are those whose colleagues would refer to a business associate, friend or use themselves in a particular field of expertise.
A partner in the Plunkett Cooney’s Bloomfield Hills office, Lannen has been integral to the growth and success of the firm’s high stakes and bet-the-company commercial practice. He is widely recognized for complex commercial and financial services litigation, banking and creditors’ rights matters, and class, mass and multi-district actions.
Lannen has successfully tried a number of cases on behalf of Fortune 500 companies, as well as experienced business owners throughout the country.
Lannen earned his undergraduate degree in 2006 from Kalamazoo College and his law degree, magna cum laude, in 2009 from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. He has been named a Michigan Rising Star in Banking by Michigan Super Lawyers for more than a decade straight.
Members of Plunkett Cooney’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group represent clients from numerous industries who become entangled in litigation concerning matters that arise while conducting business. Plunkett Cooney’s attorneys have decades of experience and offer expertise in such matters as contract cases, business torts, real estate disputes, business ownership conflicts, bankruptcy, antitrust claims, corporate compliance issues, tax and finance issues, commercial collections, commercial landlord tenant, civil RICO, ERISA, intellectual property claims and many other areas.
