Alyssa C. Kennedy recently joined Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest full-service law firms, as a member of its Torts & Litigation Practice Group.

Kennedy, who is an attorney in the firm’s Petoskey, Michigan office, maintains a wide-ranging litigation practice. She defends matters involving premises liability, toxic torts, construction liability, ski resort and product liability claims, as well as first- and third-party motor vehicle disputes.

In addition, Kennedy has extensive experience representing nurses, doctors and hospitals in medical liability litigation, as well as extended care facilities and nursing homes in a variety of resident care claims. She also represents clients in the areas of real estate transactions, employment law, landlord/tenant issues and business law.  

Recognized as a Michigan Super Lawyer Rising Star since 2019, Kennedy is a 2014 graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law. While in law school, she served as managing editor of the Canada-U.S. Law Journal, received the national Scribes Brief-Writing Award and was a member of the Craven National Moot Court team. Kennedy received her undergraduate degree from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2009.
