Attorney Arturo Alfaro recently joined the Transportation Law Practice Group of Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest full-service law firms.

A member of the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office, Alfaro focuses his practice on the defense of first- and third-party auto liability cases on behalf of national insurance companies and their policyholders. His practice includes advising clients on pre-suit claims, including strategic planning for anticipated litigation, and providing opinions regarding coverage and priority. Alfaro is also a Michigan Supreme Court certified Spanish court interpreter.

A recent graduate and valedictorian of the 2020 class of Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, Alfaro received numerous academic accolades. They include the Alumni Association’s Distinguished Student Award, the Leadership Achievement Award and selection as Editor-in-Chief of the WMU Cooley Law Review. He was also a member of the school’s Leaders Academy and national moot court competition team. Alfaro received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in computer information systems from Baker College in 2004.

Active in the metro Detroit legal community, Alfaro is a member of the Hispanic Bar Association of Michigan, the State Bar of Michigan, and the Oakland County and Detroit bar associations.
