The short answer is that case evaluation is a part of Michigan’s Alternative Dispute Resolution system, and unfortunately in most cases, it cannot be avoided.

This webinar provided attendees with an in-depth review of the aspects of case evaluation, including jurisdictional issues, sanctions and what it means if the process fails to help the parties reach a resolution in the case.

Featured speakers   Robert A. Marzano is a partner in the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office and serves as Plunkett Cooney’s Torts & Litigation Practice Group Leader. He represents some of the world largest retailers and restaurant chains in addition to a robust public sector law practice. Mr. Marzano focuses his practice in the areas of municipal law, foodservice and hospitality law, as well as all aspects of civil litigation. He currently serves as Michigan State Chair for the Council on Litigation Management.           Abe Barlaskar is a former member of the firm who concentrated his litigation practice on the defense of insurers, rental car companies, trucking companies, corporations and individuals in no-fault coverage disputes and negligence suits.            Margaret A. Czuchaj is a former member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group who focuses her litigation practice in the areas of premises and retail liability, motor vehicle no-fault liability and motor vehicle negligence.
